Survey to glass order — without the guesswork
The Coglass survey tool captures everything your office needs to order the right glass, first time.
Open the job on your phone
Your surveyor opens the assigned job in the Coglass mobile app. Job address, access notes and survey instructions from the office are all visible before they arrive on site.
Start the survey visit
Tap On my way to text the customer, then I’ve arrived — start survey. Arrival time and who is on site are recorded, and access for each window can be noted as you go.
Add measurements
For each pane, the surveyor enters a location label (e.g. "Front bedroom left"), width and height in millimetres, and quantity. All dimensions are stored to the millimetre, exactly as measured on site — no unit conversion.
Add drawings and operations
Use the drawing tool to record glass shape (rectangle, arch, circle, oval, gable, trapezoid), Georgian bar positions, lead design patterns, cutouts, holes, notches, and RAL paint codes — all linked to that measurement.
Take photos
Attach photos to each individual measurement and to the overall survey. Photos are stored against the job and viewable in the office immediately — useful for checking the frame, damage, or unusual details.
Onto the work bench
When the survey is finished the office gets a notification. On the order’s work bench they open the survey alongside — measurements, drawings, photos and GPS pins — pick the glass and press Add to turn each pane into a priced line.

- Photo commentsAdd comments to photos — useful for flagging damage, unusual frame conditions, or installation notes.
- Access and logistics loggingRecord what access equipment is needed (ladders, MEWP, scaffold) and special site conditions for fitters.
- Works offlineNo signal on site? No problem. All survey data is captured and queued locally. Syncs automatically when connection is restored.
- Fitting time and crewThe surveyor sets the fitting time and how many fitters are needed — the survey can’t be finished without them, so the booking is the right length.
- Survey beside the work benchThe office opens the survey next to the work bench, picks the glass and presses Add for each pane — sizes, shape and operations carried across.
